15 Years of Excellence
July 2023 marks Semper Tek’s 15-Year Anniversary! This milestone couldn’t have been reached without our team of dedicated people who always strive to provide the highest level of quality, attention to detail, and professionalism. Semper Tek is made up of people who truly care about each other and the work they do for our federal clients. Because of this, we have no doubt that Semper Tek will continue to meet and exceed our clients’ expectations in the years to come.
Since opening in July 2008, our firm has performed work in 26 states and executed more than 300 contracts and task orders for various agencies of the government. We have grown from one employee in 2008, 43 employees by our 10-year anniversary in 2018, to now being a family of over 63 team members. In addition to our corporate office in Lexington, KY and our Southeast Division in Valdosta, GA, we have opened 3 regional offices: Florence, AL, Louisville, KY, and Clarksville, TN and have recently been awarded IDIQ contracts that extend our service area nationwide.
As a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business founded by Scott Matheny, a disabled Marine, our company feels honor, dedication to country, and pride in the work we do for our military and veteran clients. As our adage states, we are “veterans sustaining the mission” and thus we have chosen to celebrate our 15 Years of Excellence by participating as a Gold Sponsor in the Veterans – VA 5K “Remember and Honor” in Lexington, KY on Sunday, November 5th. This race benefits the Lexington VA Medical Center Volunteer Program and the Lexington Fisher House. The Fisher House provides lodging for military and veteran families where they can stay for free, while a loved one receives care from the Lexington VA. The Lexington house includes 16 private suites with a common kitchen, living room, and dining. During the first 20 days of its opening, in April 2023, they served 54 families!
As we celebrate this significant milestone, we eagerly look forward to the future with great optimism and remain committed to delivering excellence in everything we do.
Semper Tek’s Unforgettable Anniversary Event: Lexington
Semper Tek’s 15-year anniversary celebration was a huge success! The event brought together employees, friends, and family who all shared in commemorating the success of Semper Tek. As Semper Tek embarks on the next chapter of its journey, it does so, inspired by our employees and our dedication to continued growth, success, and excellence. Thank you to everyone who attended!
Mural Celebrating 15 Years
This past Friday, Semper Tek held a 15 year anniversary celebration at the Main Office. During this event, Semper Tek unveiled a big secret that has been in the works for months now…. a Mural! This mural would not be where it is today if it weren’t for countless hours of work from The Pink Merl Design Co., Chad Howard, Carmen Perry, and Santiago Iturralde.
The Mural first started as an idea Santiago had to represent Semper Tek and what we stand for. Santiago then asked Carmen to draft an idea with only four components: clients, people, service, and projects. Carmen then came up with the following idea:
“The map represents all the states we’ve worked in, and the physical offices we currently have. The four boxes represent the four things that Semper Tek wouldn’t be Semper Tek without: It’s Clients, People, Service, and Projects. I wanted the logo to be the center and the boxes to come out of it, so it represented Semper Tek graphically.”
After it was approved, Carmen then worked with Pink Merl Design Co. and Chad Howard to bring the drawing to life. Chad played an important role in picking up the mural, storing it for months, and finally hanging it up this past week! This Mural will forever represent Semper Tek and how far we have come throughout the years. Whenever you’re at the Main Office, be sure to stop by and check out this amazing piece of art!

Semper Tek’s 15-year anniversary celebration was a big success! Employees and their families gathered together in Valdosta this past Friday to commemorate Semper Tek’s 15 years of excellence. We had a great time together eating and playing games, and there was even a dunking booth! Thank you to everyone who was able to come and for everyone’s hard work to make this event a success.
